I've been trying to change flying height on units, but I can't get it to work.

  • Animation - Change (Triggering unit) flying height to 395.00 at 0.00
I want my units flying height to be changed to 395 with this, but there are no changes. Besides, I really have no clue what the rate thing is. Please help me.

EDIT: Nevermind the above. I figured out it didn't work because my unit wasn't a flyer from the beginning... New question is:

How do I change the movementtype ingame?

It's because you set it to 395 at 0. That means it will go to 395 at a rate of 0 per second. Meaning it is ordered to go to 395, but it doesn't have any speed.

To determine how fast you want a unit to go to that height, you divide the difference in height (where it is and where you order it to go to) with the speed (X height per second) and you know how long it takes to go to that height. For example: Going from 595 to 395 at 100 will take (595-395) / 100 = 2 seconds. If you want the unit to be moved to that height immediately, you just enter a ridiculously high speed value like 10000.

Hmm, are you sure the 0 is the speed? I thought it was the time which takes the unit to lift itself to the desired height. Same goes for, f.ex. pan camera - if you set the "rate" to 0, it moves the camera object to the selected region instantly, in 0 seconds.
