I think that art tools are better for wc3. I have problems with neodex and 3dsmax2010. Exporting messes smoothing groups and shading in-game is messy and bad.
Or I am doing something wrong... I can give you a tutorial how to use them. One guy made video tutorial for me. Cant remember his name now. He is well known old model maker. I will add his nick as credits later xD.
Well use NeoDex - Export MDL, select all animations and export.
before you need to use IK Snapper to create new animated mesh from already animated bones you made for your model. Then you take that animated mesh you got, and use it as bones for your model. Skin.
Then just select your model as MESH. Only model(mesh) and export.
