How do I rotate a particle emitter?

So I'm trying to figure out how to edit particle emitters. I opened a particle model that Blizzard made in Magos and edited it until it looked like I wanted. The problem is that it is going in the "y" direction. I want the particles to fly in the "x" direction instead but I can't find any way of rotating the emitter (see image link).

You need to link the particle emitter to an animated bone in 3ds max.
Sorry dude, there is no other way that i know of.

I guess, here particle is allready linked to the bone, so you have just to rotate it via magos, or mdlvis, in case if it has even a single geoset

Yeah, well then just open the model editor window thing that magos have, select all verts (if there are any), and spin. idk if that works still though.
I suggest you edit an existing model that has particles going in that direction, such as "breath of fire", and base it on that model instead.
