i tried compatibility mode as a way of outsmarting the system sensor in the installation but it still read the system as vista and therefore unsupported so it blocked the installation. i searched for a solution but there wasnt any solution found that had to do with installation. please help me with this, i would help you if you asked me and i could help.

here is a screen shot of the error.

i already tried windows 98 compatibility mode. i tried the compatibility wizard but it still rejects vista as being unsupported. there is however games that reject vista. carmageddon 2 rejects nt based systems(patch developed to fix that) and so do warzone 2100.(release version)

The developers clearly must have done something very stupid. Instead of checking for operating systems above a certain version or that offer certain features they restrict it to operating systems only of a certain version.

Try and install it manually. Some games have the game data in simple archive files that can be manually extracted using programs such as 7-Zip.

If that fails your only choice is a Virtual machine of an OS the game does support.

the games files is in an archive but neither 7-zip nor winrar is able to open it. (i tried 7-zip after you suggested it.) i couldnt find a compatible virtual pc nor can i get virtual machine so that wont help. there is however a virtual pc for vista but it isnt compatible with my version. (home premium.)

It's amazing how each and every one of these threads gets derailed...
