How can i make a 2d mesh that turns with the player's camera?

Well, thats my question.
I want to do something like the balls on the back of the Troll Witchdoctor, some square mesh in 2d that turns with the players camera and you never will notice that is 2d.
I work only with free tools, also.
I hav milkshape, but no idea how to use it xD
I will rep anyone who can help me. :D
