I have looked through the hive, hiding a cursor requires something like replace/use alpha, which I don't even know what or how to do it. Is there another way?

FYI, I enabled user control in letterbox mode and the cursor is seen. How to hide it even in a user-control-enabled letterbox mode?

Depends on what you need.

If you want to make the cursor invisible permanently then you might use the alpha idea which basically means the replace the cursor image with an empty one.

If you need to switch it on and off, cinematic mode is probably your best option as far as I know.

So it's left with the only idea - alpha. But how do you do it?

Open photoshop, create new image which is the size of the cursor in wc3, head over to the layers panel, double click the layer lock to unlock it, name it, set the opacity to 0%, save it as gif, or png idk which one wc3 uses, and import it. That's in a nutshell.
