How do Add Cursor hand during Letter box mod.

I’ve added a difficulty selection box in my campaign that shows up at the start of the map. Here’s the issue: I used a trigger for letterbox mode, but it hides the cursor hand for the player. My question is—how can I make the cursor hand visible while in letterbox mode? Is that even possible? I noticed Turnro managed to do it in his campaigns.
