My brain can't make up its mind whether this is a bronze soccer ball or a protoss esk looking shield. either way it looks interesting. Minor critique, The light on the underside might be abit too bright and it might make more sense for the light too come from a higher angle too.

Hello mythic, if you upload the icon as a PNG, it will automatically create all border types automatically for you; I think this icon could benefit from those icon variations so people can use it how they like.

Also, I don't believe bundling the SD / HD is against the rules, but maybe the SD version should be uploaded in the SD icon section and have a link between the two?
