Map Description, Storyline and Gameplay
The Singleplayer Role Playing Game (SRPG), Heroes Lore : Zero is meant to replicate the fast and exciting gameplay and story of it's mobile game counterpart. You start out as a young boy tasked to do a list of chores as done just like you do in everyday that has passed since you came to the orphanage. Until you encountered a lass, being chased by a kind of cult or a gang, in need of your help. You were confused.. you were forced to defend the girl.. and somehow managed to win.. What happens now? The girl, says that she has lost all her memory but somehow think that she needs to find someone in your village.. Who could she be searching for?

In this map, I am aiming to replicate the fast paced gameplay of the mobile game.. though I plan to add some more features and a few mini-games, I intend to keep the storyline intact.

This map will have at least 5 or more different classes you can choose from at the start of the game, however, you can change your profession any time ingame. This map will also feature refining and embedding gems into items which will aid you in your journey. Items has 4 different classes which are the Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary and there are also Set items that would give a special ability when all of it's parts are worn.

Alright, had the energy left to update the thread. I was depressed on how old the thread already.. >.<

Well, I don't know if I should list ALL of the things I've done but here's some of them:

Finally another update!

Since I'm all inspired right now and HOoody has done a great job with the terrain, I'm gonna start with the systems, cinematics and Heroes.

I have been acting as the 2d artist for this game and it's been really awesome, but I have no more time to do those anymore since I'll be doing a lot of triggering and stuff, so I'm gonna need a good 2d artist sooner or later..

I'm looking for ideas for minigames that the player will play when he dies. So any suggestions? It could be an old 2d short game or your very own minigame idea.

Oh, and added a new section in the contents. Check it out!

Well, you want to improve your map? Add some complicated System to the game and also some fun events at the game like a custom arena where you fight monsters and bosses and receive epic items and bounty of Gold.... like that.

Yeah, that's what I meant with mini-games, I'm thinking about a feature that everytime a player dies during a boss fight, he is then given a chance to choose if he plays the mini-game or not. if he doesn't, he gets revived in town. if he does, he plays the mini-game. then winning it would mean you get revived within the boss room (boss will still have the damaged health) and if he loses, he is revived in town.

I know, kinda lame mini-game idea but that's what i've got ATM. so, suggestions?

A question? Does the game only shows the terrain? Because I have noticed that there is no gameplay to it. But nevermind that, the terrain is awesome and it is almost identical to the Mobile game, nice work on it and +REP! Will be looking forward for the gameplay of this.

Besides there's not really much gameplay right now coz I have only created the camera system (not the one where you have to type -set / press Esc) and an experimental creep spawn system.. The progress is kinda slow so it would take a while longer for this map to get some gameplay started..

Anyways, I wanted to get some comments / critics for the terrain, so that's why I attached the map.. :3

Well, you terrain is kind of impressive and I like it. It looks lively and will be more lively if you put many Villager in towns and houses and monsters in Forests, Dungeons and more...

Started making the cinematics.

I can't say more progress will happen this week, the final tests are here and I don't wanna fail.. Oh! I desperately need models for items sold in the shop. Not item models, I need things like doodads that I can display in shops so that, well, It would look like a shop.. Anyways, I would gladly accept any suggestions and critics on my map.

Yeah, I've been focusing on the terrain and the cinematics lately because they are the easiest ones to make.. I'll try making some of the systems next week..

I've made a lot of systems, improved the terrain and started making the heroes for it already so.. Pretty good :D

I'll just update this thread when I've made some really big progress. Which is gonna be hard since I'm already handling 2 projects plus 2 contests.. XD

Anyways thanks for checking or sumthing.. good to know eople are still chacking this even if I'm not updating anymore :3

Can you either resize the bed or the spell breaker so the scale doesn't look weird (in my opinion)

I might sound retarded if this has already been mentioned before... it's just bugging me for the past few weeks every time I encounter the picture... =)

Alright, had the energy left to update the thread. I was depressed on how old the thread already.. >.<

Well, I don't know if I should list ALL of the things I've done but here's some of them:

Finished the third village, the southern fortress, and the swamp near humming city.

Did a bunch of systems that seems to work.. About 12 systems in all. XD

Started making the loading screen, map preview and a custom cursor.

Changed the UI.

Made the heroes and also started making their spells.

Pretty good progress I must say.. :D
I didn't update the screenshots. There are already a lot of them and I suppose that's enough screenshots. Maybe I'll make a thread in the terrain board later.

(A bit off topic) Actully I think Warcraft cnematics is a bit ugly.
