Help with Fade Filters

I'm doing some work with fade filters for my project, and need to know how to make one the right size to fill the whole screen on any computer. Any help?

512x512 I think?

You can just extract a fade filter from the .mpq and check the size.

The standard black mask fade filter is 16x16 and the largest fade filters are 512x512. They are then stretched to fill the screen.
