Help with AoE Impale.

I saw the idea of an aoe impale on these forums and i decided to have a go at it, but i'm having trouble. Can anyone show me how to do it? What I have is a dummy spell(wind walk). this spell triggers the creation of a dummy unit that i would like to cast 8 impales, one directly north, one NE, one east, etc etc. However, when i cast the dummy spell, nothing happens. Can anyone help?

This is it. What am i missing? I'm quite new to triggers. I wouldn't be surprised if i did this completely wrong

the unit can't cast it that many times instantly (unless, possibly, it has 0 cast backswing, but you can still have problems there)

Should I Create a separate unit for each impale?

edit - OK, i added waits between each impale, and i See the unit show up(i want him to so i can see if i'm creating trigger correctly) and he stays up for each wait and is removed at the end, but there are still no impales showing. Can you actually have impale target a position on that ground with a trigger?

Im not sure if this is the problem, but make sure the dummy unit has the mana available to cast the spell

Oh, also, you're removing the dummy as soon as you make it - no time for him to cast the spell =/

Use "Unit - Apply Timed Life"

Simply set impales range to 1 and AOE to the area you want, since impale is by default an AOE spell, thats how it works.
