Hi!

I must say first off that I have NO modeling skill, nor even the right programs for it. But I was wondering if anyone ever tried making a burrowed model that could be used for any generic unit. I gave burrowing to a custom unit, and it looks fine when it's burrowed and when it's not, but when you unburrow it (or it dies), it turns into a giant Crypt Fiend briefly before turning back into its normal model.

Is it even possible to make a custom burrowed model that could work for any unit?

I'm no expert either but I think it comes down to the animations. It's sort of like the druid of claw/talon morph. The animation shows the unit morphing and the bear model is part of that animation for a short time. I think that applies to the the the burrow ability as well, the crypt fiend model is part of one of the animations. Hope that kinda helped, I wanted to have the same thing with my naga map having them burrow instead of submerge but water bubbles on land looked pretty fail
