Halo 2 on XP?

Hey ya all, I saw Halo 2 in my city's store (finally! i was waiting for 3 years!) but it's only for Vista. So, is there any way to play Halo 2 on XP? Some extremely hard process or something?
Pls reply, I really want to see more of Master Chief's adventures.

Not piracy, it just involves breaking your OS with possiably dangerous tools so that XP and use DX10 and fool the game into thinking its vista / 7.
Would probably be easier to upgrade to windows 7.

I thought it just couldn't play online when run on XP.

You could also order Halo 2 for Xbox off the internet...

I had it working well on my version of XP. Yeah, I'm not sure if it was legal or not...
