Mission: The Defense of Gryphonwing Hold (Levels 1 - 5)

The undead troops are drawing closer to Gryphonwing Hold and it’s time for the Gryphonwing Alliance to strike back. The damned undead have sent one of their best necromancers to our area. The necromancer, also known as Zhul’Tish the Summoner, is an expert in summoning skeletal creatures. After weeks of fighting the summoned skeletal creatures the Gryphonwing forces are starting to cease. Warden Anna Skysong has even reported that she saw stronger and larger creatures gathering up south of Gryphonwing Hold.
In order to stop this you should join the humans in the army of General Harius. He’s one of the humans highest graded soldiers and will command you to victory. Get ready to slay creatures that don’t feel pain nor remorse. You should strike swiftly to purify the Gryphonwing lands once and forever. If you succeed in defeating Zhul’Tish the Summoner you will be granted the title ‘Soldier of Gryphonwing’ and you gain access to various rewards inside Gryphonwing Hold. But before that we first have to defend Gryphonwing Hold. Go and speak to General Harius to join the battlefield under his command.

Quest: Beasts made of Bones

Welcome to your greatest nightmare my friend.
I'm your host and commander General Harius. You will do what I say and I do not tolerate any objection. Did I make myself clear?
Great! Your first task will be easy. I wan't you to defeat 12 of the nearby Skeletal Beasts. They're aggressive terrifying beasts that attack every Gryphonwing they can see.
Return to me when you're done, and you shall be rewarded.

Defeat 12 Skeletal Beasts

Quest: Cleanse the Uncleansed

Your next assignment will be to cleanse the skeletal beasts.
You know how to defeat them on the battlefield, but unfortunately they will always return in sometimes even greater numbers. I want you to make an end of that by cleansing their corpses with this Holy Scepter.
Good luck soldier.

Cleanse 12 Skeletal Beast corpses

Quest: Report to Lieutenant Stonebeard

The situation here isn't looking very bright, soldier!
Those damned creatures keep returning in numbers far beyond ours. And to make it even worse... Scouts reported they've seen an increasing amount of even larger creatures to the east!
I'm afraid they're coming with a fatal attack soon.
I want you to discuss this matter with Lieutenant Stonebeard and ask for some dwarven support.
Make haste soldier!

Report to Lieutenant Stonebeard

Quest: Dwarven Belongings

Greetings friend.
I'm Anna Skysong the Warden.
Recently I arrived here to discuss the battle at Irontomb. I've been over there to deal with the damned orcs that are trying to capture it. I noticed the dwarves are in high need of our support.
Now that's not the thing I currently need your help for. Gargoyles in the nearby forest stole Lieutenant Stonebeard's belongings.
We need those belongings to build sentry guns, our only defense that costs no human lives.
Could you get back the belongings while we deal with the undead in here?

Obtain the 3 Dwarven Belongings

Quest: Fleshy Constructs

As of late, a necromancer has moved in on us toward the east. We have no clue of his intentions or whether he serves the Defilers; but we do know that he poses a great threat.
General Harius isn't even doing anything against it which makes me sick! Look at the amount of Skeletal Beasts crawling around in this area! It has to stop!
However... The necromancer's latest works, dubbed as Rotten Horrors, are beastly masses of flesh and steel. They are even more dangerous then the Skeletal Beasts.
In order to keep this place secure, I need you to slaughter 7 of those Rotten Horrors for me. Strike quickly my warrior!

Defeat 7 Rotten Horrors

Quest: Making the Sentry Gun

Ah so you're going to slaughter these blasted Rotten Horrors?
Great! Then you can check if they have any useable goods. We can use any kind of wood to construct new and better sentry guns.
If you could bring me some of those goods I will reward you with a nice trophy!

Obtain 4 Useable Abomination Parts

Repetetive, come up with newer, not "collect this; Kill this" Quests.
Im sick of the such, exactly why most rpg's fail at being good, because your just doing the same old, butcher or collect quests.

*Looks at your joining date*

*Cough* Ahem, maybe instead of saying something like that, actually come up with some ideas? That would be better.

Imagine this:

You live in a fantasy world with orcs and elves and wars going on.

Think about a few things that could be very important in a place like that:

1) Getting resources like wood or water and stuff to live...
2) Killing the enemy.
3) Defending your villagers.

How to do 1:
A) Kill enemies that per example have a lumber mill or water mill. (So a kill quest)
B) Just do it yourself.. Cut tree's or stuff. (So a gather quest)
How to do 2:
A) Do it yourself. (So a kill quest)
B) Get a magical item or object to let it do it for you. (So a gather quest)
How to do 3:
A) Kill attacking enemies. (So a kill quest)
B) Get a magical item or anythign else that guarantees safety for villagers. (Gather quest)

If you look at this you will basically always have gather, or kill quests...

Try to come up with something new and you're a genious.
Even long storylines will always result into killing something, because how else would you win a war withoud killing the enemy?!

EDIT:
Oh and inbetween the killing and gathering, getting from a certain point/npc to the other could result into a .... drums!.... TRAVELING quest!

So you will always have a Travel, Kill or Gather quest anyway!

Those quests sound interesting and I for one myself never liked the kill quests, but meh I got over it and did them anyway.
Oh and by the way is this the campaign you are going to release with them in it then?

It's been a long time ago that I worked on this, but soon I'm going to start on it again since a vacation is coming.
Currently there are ~18 Gryphonwing quests. I think when the first beta comes out there will be ~30 Gryphonwing Quests.

Nice Quests!!!
Well, there aren't many types of quests but how about a defending quest or something like that? Like you have to escort someone or defend against a siege?
