I've just started playing Gears the other day with my bro. I don't have XBOX Live, but the campaign is pretty sweet. Except last night we got stuck on this damned fish thing, and we kept getting eaten for some reason. Either way, what's everyone's thoughts on it?

One of the best games this year and pretty insane in Co-op. I hope you're playing it on Hardcore.

Leviathan is easy, just saw off the tentacles. Then it'll bite the boat, shoot its blue eye and go inside it's mouth when it opens. Then shoot the tentacles that glow blue inside it's mouth, then throw a grenade when that... teeth thing opens.. you'll know it when you see it.

I had fun playing it, I've beat the full thing twice on CO-OP with friends (Insane mode). And twice alone (Hardcore/Insane). It should take you a solid 10-12 hours to finish the whole thing and despite what other people say, the ending is satisfying for me. They complain the end boss is fart but the ending is cool.

What I really hated about it was that it opens up so many plot strands but never completes on any of them. And it's really frustrating given the fact that it has a cool storyline this time around.

hahaha, me and my friend played like the first half of the campaign over a month, and beat the rest starting from the fish in a single night.
I really do like the cover system, since you have to take cover or u will die, so you need to think abit.
although fights can be abit extended if u cant seem to hit them.
Having trouble on the fish mission?:
saw off the tentacles as they approach, and shoot the eyes when it tries to drag you down when it bites the ship. After that it'll comeback, shoot the eyes and it will open its mouth, run in quickly or you will die. make sure youre past the teeth
grab the nades in its mouth. You'll see 6 tentacles inside its mouth, shoot the ones that are blue. After shooting a few of them, its inner mouth will open up and you chuck 'nades into it. Then you'll be spit out, and you have to repeat the process 2 more times.

That's exactly what we've been doing. And like... we got it a total of three times in the mouth, but then like the whole boat sinks and we fail the mission.

I beat Gears 2 the day I bought it. Me and my friend just played all night. It's pretty short.

The multiplayer offline is actually quite fun. That's the big reason I bought the game.

It rules in LAN me and mince rarely lose any matches.
I always set up an ambush.
