We need some sort of F.A.Q. thread for extremely frequently asked questions. Here are a few examples of threads that repeat themselves. Lots of users don't use the search feature properly (or at all) but for some reason they'll read the stickies. For that reason, it may save a lot of time by simply creating a thread that users would check (Ctrl+F would most likely work) for their problem before posting.

at the other hand, it might be faster when you ask for help then reading the whole FAQ, unless you use search. Most people rather know to solve little problems instead of reading a tutorial that would explain a lot more, so there will be more questions that have been asked a 100 times with or without the FAQ tho

Bu still yes, a FAQ would help a lot of people, but who would write it down?

Anyone who'd rather link a thread than explain an entire solution. =P

But anyway, it just requires one thread, and people can post links to solutions. Then the thread owner would just need to update the thread with the links that'd be useful. I think this is a pretty good idea.
