First attempt at doing some real model edits.

My current project, also made out of a sheep: the hedgehog!

Any comments?

I made my first model edit that I feel is acceptable today. It's a duck.

It curently uses a picture as a texture so I still have to make a real texture, but otherwise I think it's pretty much finished as it is.

I know it's simple, but any comments?

Thanks for the comments!

Archipelago, nothing, for now. You don't really see a hedgehog's feet normally, especially not from the distance you'd look at it ingame.

NhazUl, I'm still working on the head, it won't be much more high poly than it is now however, since it's only a critter (most probably very small) and mostly only seen from a distance.

Here's a little update:

He now has some hair behind his head and his head is a little bit less blocky. Front and top of his head still need to be re-uv-mapped

His head isn't entirely symmertrical, don't know where that happened, but if I can I'll make the whole thing symmetrical when it's finished.

Thanks!

I actually started out with those plane-spikes, but it didn't work as I wanted it to. Then I noticed that on all the reference pics the spikes aren't that big and almost look like fur from a distance so I decided to leave it like this. I may still try it again, however.

Sadly no in-game textures. If I had to make stuff in-game look like a hedgehog the model would have to look exactly like one, and I'm not good enough yet to do that.. I have to rely on my own textures more. Also, I think texturing is way too much fun to not do it.

Worked on the texture and gave the hedgehog a more natural shape. Now his walk animation is screwed up though, but luckily it isn't really noticable ingame.

More suggestions or comments, anyone?

That a very nice animal, but you should consider adding another line of vertices in the middle it's fore head so the texture will not be that stretched in this specific spot.
