Fel Orc - Shield Disciple
"We will hold the Black Temple!"
The elite infantry of the Shadowmoon Clan are heavily armoured, highly disciplined warriors armed with shield and glaive to form a nearly impenetrable front.
Almost impenetrable like the walls of the Black Temple, they face the enemy and give the powerful sorcerers of the Shadowmoon clan the time they
need to bring their deadly magic to work.
The Shield Disciples in the original are actually members of the Bonechewer Clan, but I decided to add them to the Shadowmoon Clan here as they fit
my interpretation of the Shadowmoon Army better. And the Bonechewers had an excess of cool units in WoW:TBC anyway. ^^
I was actually going to give the guy a spear like Heartstone's Bonechewer Vanguard has, but that didn't go with the animation at all (you don't hit with a spear, you stab boy!).
And I can't stand the weapon from WoW:TBC, so I decided to give him a Polearm!
The shield is based on the Dark Iron Footman's shield from the legendary team at CSW! As always, a big round of applause to the artists!
Just simplified it a bit and matched the color to my Shield Disciple.
As always: If you should find bugs: In the comments.
Update 19.07.: As suggested, the Shield Disciple uses now a Stab-Animation. It is the attacking animation in the Defending stance.

This looks great. If I could make one suggestion the shield I don't think fits. It looks more evil human. My opinion take the fel orc warlock shied and upscale it to look thicker. Or maybe longer.

Héhéhé, the model looks awesome. If I could ping something, maybe shoulders are too much big. When he's walking-Defend, he cannot see what is in front of him because of his shoulder

The shield is the item fel orcs used in the Black Temple. It's super-canonical.

The black temple? I want to ask is that a wow thing? If so that would be why I think it looks so off. I know we go there in the story here but the only orc shield is the warlock.

I take a lot of my inspiration from the Fel Orcs from World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (Short: WoW:TBC)
It's also partly in the description text above. ^^
And this tower shield is the iconic thing about this unit.
That's why I can't exchange it, for all my love... Not that I even considered it.
I think... I could change all sorts of things about the character... if I gave her this shield, everyone who raided the Black Temple back in the day would know what unit I'm trying to represent.
Maybe he's shy and that's why he's hiding behind his shoulder pauldron?
No nonsense... joking aside.
I only left it because otherwise I would have to change the position manually in this posture... and I was worried that it would have jerked.
So I left it like that for now (!). Of course, if I get it changed, I'll upload the view-free version. ^^

My bad I guess i missed the wow part. I don't actually play it and from what I am told the wow story is like a drunken randy random having a stroke so all i know is stuff from the rts games and the wiki.
If you like it with the shield that's fine. No reason to change it because a no body like me said something. you like it keep it.

Melee spearmen are a rarity in WC3. Nice job!
The warlocks aren't the only orc units with shields; there's the Slave Master, Mathog, and the Far Seer.

Oh nice, I somehow did not notice. But I was looking out for big spikes (not Gul'dan typa spikes but bigger ones) , but these will suffice!
