Yeah, right!.. or was. I used it for about 8 years but then it started doing idiot stuff.. Deleted my own compiled programs(trust me I didn't make viruses), blocked whole network and it was impossible to surf the web for hours on every computer that had avast on it. So then, we said goodbye to each other and I wiped it out from the disk.

Anyways, some security is quite essential as you can catch some virus even while surfing hive(yes ads, signatures), not like it has many chance, but it might happen.

Haven't really been using one, and I never had the virus problems that most computers in shops and from my friends here that run a number of antiviruses has...

I use avast! myself though, but I have never had the need to use it. It's web shield slows down my google image search substantially though :/

IDK... I personally hate avast because on the computer shops that had it, it always sends out voice warnings... The last one I used is Avira.

Avast!, My current and favorite antivirus, the noisy sound notification can be turned off inside the settings.
I also manage to clean a Trojan thanks to it, else I might still fucking myself confused why whenever a Flash Disk entered, it becomes fucked with Junk Viruses.

most of those junk can be cleaned by you with a few tweaks... XD

Been using avast for about to two years, but all it detects is pirated software. But when I got a real virus, it didnt detect it at al. In the end Comodo Security managed to get it, so I'm sticking with Comodo until further notice.

Also I wish I will have a chance sometime in my life to smack whatever prick thought that obnoxious voice alerts are good idea.
