Cyrodiil-Map.asp
Hey guys,

since my other project is in testing phase right now i wanted to present you another idea. Before you comment on this, please keep in mind that this is just an idea and i did not even started on this. I want to get as many ideas and maybe even critics as possible.

So a few of you may know the game Elder Scrolls Online. It is - surprise - a part of Bethesda's "Elder Scrolls" Series, even though the main developer is a different company.

Story:

In 2E 583, before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the Vestige is captured and their soul is taken by Mannimarco. The Vestige is imprisoned in Coldharbour, but with the help of Lyris Titanborn, Cadwelland The Prophet, the Vestige escapes.

Meanwhile, the three alliances — the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant and the Ebonheart Pact — are locked in combat with each other for Cyrodiil and the Ruby Throne. The Prophet and the Vestige are separated, and the Vestige must find him again to continue the main questline.

After meeting with The Prophet in the Harborage, he reveals how Molag Bal and Mannimarco were able to weaken the bonds between Tamriel and Oblivion. At an event called the Soulburst, Mannimarco tricked the Emperor into trying to proclaim himself Dragonborn. The Emperor died, and the Amulet of Kings was lost. The Prophet made inquiries about the event, which is why he was thrown in Coldharbour.

While the Vestige is helping Lyris escape Coldharbour, they discover that Abnur Tharn might be a double agent, as he gives Lyris her axe.

The Vestige learns that the Prophet is actually Varen Aquilarios. Replacing Mannimarco, the Vestige joins Lyris, Varen, Sai Sahan and Abnur Tharn to complete the Five Companions. United, they make their way to Heart's Grief, Molag Bal's fortress. There, they find Mannimarco trapped by Molag Bal, neither alive nor dead. The Vestige can choose to release him or not. Unfortunately, to use the power of the Amulet of the Kings, one of the Five must be sacrificed (either Lyris, Sai or Varen).

Strengthened by the power of Akatosh, the Vestige is able to defeat him and recover their soul. Abnur Tharn flees to Cyrodil with the Amulet, Molag Bal is weakened, and the tear between Nirn and Oblivion is closed.

The Vestige reunites with the remaining Five Companions back in the Harborage.

My idea for a new map focuses on this point: "Meanwhile, the three alliances — the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant and the Ebonheart Pact — are locked in combat with each other for Cyrodiil and the Ruby Throne."

I want to make a map of cyrodiil with the imperial city and the 3 alliances and the daedra fighting for the main land and the capitol of cyrodiil. It should be mainly a strategy map but with elements from rpg or other genres.

Here is what i got this far:

1. The alliances that can be played by a player should only be the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant and the Ebonheart Pact. The Daedra and the remaining imperial troops are controlled by a AI.

2. Every player/alliance starts with a base at the outside of the map. The goal is to defeat the opponent player's and the dearda to control the capitol and the ruby throne.

3. There are many villages of diffent sizes on the map that can be captured to get resources. There are also many castle's of different sizes to get military bonuses.

4. Every alliances has their own individual troops, buildings, heroes and special abilities.

5. You can find diffrent types of quest on the map. Stuff like: Conquer this castle or kill this unit. With different rewards of course.

This is my idea. Tell me what you think and thank you for taking the time to discuss!

Lykaas

Sounds interesting, although I'm not sure where you'll find models, especially for khajiit and orcimer (which are more like green humans rather than the huge brutes of warcraft)
Also don't forget crazy quests to get Daedric artefacts (surely, they are powerful enough to matter even in wars of armies), can't have a TES game without them.
Oh, and Daedric ruins, allowing to rectuit daedric armor units and maybe even daedric machines.
