Everything from scratch except:
Textures from Blizzard. Dwarf Model by Blizzard.
Most of the death explosion particles are a modified combination of WILLTHEALMIGHTY's nuke, and anarchianbedlam's PUMA(flares).

1ST COMMENT, and for good reason :p

HOLY SHIT! (in a good way) this is one of the most incredibly kickass models i have ever seen, omg, i love you Sephiroth VII, i really do. i love you to death, the animations are incredible, the death animations is amazing, it blows my mind, it seems like the pieces hove in midair, which would be annoying for a map with more than 1 of them, BUT MAKES IT CINEMATIC AWESOME if you had a map where you play as this, (slow-mo explosion, camera revolves around it)

I absolutely LOVE the dwarf animations, very detailed. an excellent use of ingame textures.

i only have 1 design flaw i would like to point out, because of the way the guns are placed, they can only fire in 1 direction... :/ so while this model is incredibly cinematic, it cant really be used practically for a map. the guns can not swivel to face the enemy, if it is a railcar, and it has to be on tracks, it would only fire in 1 direction.

that is a pretty major flaw. BUT based on the model itself, the quality of the animations, mesh, etc
this thing is a 5/5 SEXTASTIC

if you managed to re-work the design, so it could swivel (on bone_turret) then this thing would get a 6/5 directors cut for sure.

(like for example put the control panel (dwarf), main gun and machine guns on a swiveling section,)

TONS of work. Only warcraft model I've worked on since I made doombeast. So its been 11 months off and on working on this. This is my last warcraft model I will make. I'm quiting wc3 modeling, so I try to go out with bang....

EDIT: OH! You give me great ideas already 1st post guy. Whole thing swiveling might be a good solution. This Rail tank thing... Its meant to go left and right on rails and fire straight ahead of course. It will need some work to make it into a all purpose tank unit. The wheels are horizontal as you can see.

I have a major problem. Sure it's beautifully done, but how can the tank support infrastructure support a field gun that large? In all honesty, if that field gun was going to fire, I suggest a stationary mode where Bi-pods hold the field gun in place.

If your moving back and fourth and firing the cannon constantly, it would look pretty stupid if support legs went up and down all the time. The support looks pretty good to me. Just say its solid metal. 8 wheels too...

To make it all purpose and not just bound to tracks, would you guys care if I left the wheels the way they are? It looks like propellers in water. And I don't see a big problem with it even if they are turning the complete wrong way. lol.
 
Lol berries wtf... seriously, i think its great and plus he has a good point, why would a moving train, stop, morph, and start firing then morph again and start moving and again stop, ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ectect ect ect ect ect ectect ect ect ect ect ectect ect ect ect ect ect, Does it seem pointless beriies????

I'm a fairly new member, but i've been an anonymous user for a long time, It effing owns, and berries, you have a point if he were going for shear realism, not uber owning, but hes not, and it would be pretty retarded to stop, put out legs, fire, withdraw legs, move.

no really this model is so epic and the dwarf is damn detailed although he is so tiny
(some1 should make an imba map using ALL the tanks and guns and stuff but I have stuff to do already)
and don't worry about the pixel no one else will notice them anyway

----Update V1.1----
New Preview Picture.
Made a single straight track.
Portrait camera adjusted, and Glow changed to Team color glow.
All particles have been enhanced.
Moved Main Cannon/Dwarf/Controls back a bit.
Shortened Main Cannon a bit.
Fixed decay flesh animation issue.
Fixed main cannon attachment point.
Added new sound event objects.

I have decided to make a railLESS version of this tank. I'm going to give it a huge base with lots of wheels, turn the wheels the right way. and make the whole top part turn like turret.

What should I call the new tank? It needs some name that means biggest baddest tank. Dwarven Mega Tank? Dwarven Messiah Tank?

One second... 43berries said that a train with such a cannon cannot shoot? well... wait a second...

Its a massive iron thingy right? like a tank? and.... wait... the tiger tank.... couldnt he shoot while driving? because... this thing in real would be bigger and heavier as a tiger tank... so I guess he can hold it, he may have a big backdraft, but whatever.

Its a 20/5 dont get me wrong.

But from my point of view, for all of its destructive awsumness, it will always be a tank with a bigass gun that drives side ways. LOL

I know. It does what it's meant to do. A rail tank, is a tank that glides back and forth on rails gaurding somthing. I know the flexability is bad. That is whats keeping it from perfection.

Should be done in about HEY! Its already done. Progress has been very slow because I have my new badass computer now, and I'm playing it all the time.

I'm making a test map that demonstrates how it could be set up in the game. In the test I will make use of all its weapons through custom abilitys.

dont think i understand what this is quite well :p it sais dwarven rail tank...oh wait! LOL xD just realized it looks like a train wagon with weapons and stuffs :p well anyways looks pretty awesome :x but the idea of trying to make a trigger thingy just to make it walk over the rails only makes me lazy T-T

one question; how would i get this tank to move along the rails sideways (without turning around, to keep the wheels along the tracks)?

i decided to use this model in a city like map, and i want this to move along some rails and shoot certan points when it reaches them, any help?

In the first page of this thread there is a link in the models description that links to a test map of this model. Its called "The Last Stand" In the map it has it set up on rails and everything. Look at the triggers and play the map. Of course it will take a lot of work to set it up.

There's a slight problem with that. See, you set the animation co-ordinates for where any projectiles fire. That means you can only see things shooting out from 1 spot that you set manually for the model, in terms of its attack.
Now, what you COULD do, would be something like this:
make the model a stationary object with no attack, and use invisible dummy models positioned where you want projectiles to fire. While the dummy units provide the projectiles, force the unit to place its respective animation for the attack. It's kind of what I'm going for, since I do NOT want the thing to rotate. Like, literally put a dummy inside the stationary model where rockets fire, or where machine guns fire. You could also try using a modified Phoenix Fire ability for automatic fire.
I may also set the cast point for this model on the main gun, since that'll be the focus for any spells I want it to have. I also have an idea for the thing to move sideways as if it's on a rail, but I haven't gotten to that point yet.
