About Dwarf Campaign
GG&K's Dwarf Campaign is a story-driven single player campaign for WarCraft III The Frozen Throne that sends the dwarves of Khaz Modan on a quest to explore the unknown, in hopes of saving their ancestral homeland. The campaign has three missions where you can choose to play from four difficulty settings (three available in the campaign file) and also features custom monsters, scripted events, music and spells. As an added bonus, the stand-alone versions of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 include voice acting and the stand-alone version of Chapter 3 supports a two-player mode.

Sequel – Gnoll Campaign: Return to Yeenador
Sound Mind Games has released a sequel to the Dwarf Campaign called Gnoll Campaign: Return to Yeenador. You can download it using the following link:
Gnoll Campaign

NEW! Voice Acted Chapters
You can also play the Dwarf Campaign using our voice acted chapter files:
Required Warcraft III Version
Campaign:
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Patch 1.21b or later
Stand-alone map files:
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Patch 1.29 or later (except Temple of the Old Gods, which requires Patch 1.21b or later)

Installation Instructions
As of Warcraft III patch 1.29, you can install the campaign as follows:

Campaign File – Windows
  1. Download Dwarf Campaign.w3n from the Hive Workshop (using the big download button)
  2. Copy Dwarf Campaign.w3n to Documents\Warcraft III\Campaigns. If the Campaigns folder does not exist, you must create it.
Campaign File – macOS
  1. Download Dwarf Campaign.w3n from the Hive Workshop (using the big download button)
  2. Open Finder.
  3. Press and hold the OPTION/ALT key down, then go to the Finder menu in the top menu bar and open the "Go" menu. When you are holding the OPTION/ALT key down, the Library option will appear in the dropdown menu. Click "Library". Now you are in the Library folder.
  4. Open Application Support → Blizzard → Warcraft III.
  5. Create a "Campaigns" folder, if it does not exist.
  6. Copy Dwarf Campaign.w3n to the Campaigns folder.
Stand-Alone Map Files – Windows
  1. Download each of the stand-alone map files using the links above.
  2. Copy the map files to Documents\Warcraft III\Maps.
Stand-Alone Map Files – macOS
  1. Download each of the stand-alone map files using the links above.
  4. Open Application Support → Blizzard → Warcraft III → Maps.
  5. Copy the map files to the Maps folder.
Playing the Dwarf Campaign
Campaign File

  1. Start Warcraft III.
  2. Select Single Player → Custom Campaign.
  3. Select Dwarf Campaign in the file menu.
  4. Select the difficulty in the difficulty menu.
  5. Click Play Campaign.
Note that there is a bug in Warcraft III that the game difficulty in custom campaigns affects only the first map you play! If you want to play the whole campaign in Easy or Hard, you need to exit Warcraft III after completing each mission (using the Quit Campaign button). Then, you need to go again to the file menu and select the difficulty again to play the next map in the right difficulty. If you use the stand-alone map files, you do not have this problem.

Stand-Alone Map Files
  1. Start Warcraft III.
  2. Select Single Player → Custom Game.
  3. Select the stand-alone chapter file in the file menu.
  4. Click Start Game.
Selecting the Right Difficulty
Easy/Novice:
If you have been long time away from Warcraft III and you have not honed your skills to play the game lately, please choose the Easy/Novice difficulty.

Normal/Adept: If you know how the game functions, you are able to use hero abilities effectively, train a good mix of units, and create a good army, but you do not consider yourself as a super-good player, we recommend playing on the Normal/Adept difficulty.

Hard/Professional: If you are actually pretty good at the game, you can use hero and unit abilities to the maximum effect, you are able to micro units well, you know how to build an extremely effective army, and you know well what different abilities, items, and upgrades do, we recommend that you play on the Hard/Professional difficulty.

Bob27: An excellent campaign, with a great story, gameplay and terrain. This would have to still be one of my favorite Warcraft III Campaigns. Approved.

    The. (Second). Best. Campaign. Ever.

Seriously this one is better than Return of the Dragons and almost as good as (if not equal to) Med. Map Guy's series (Joe's Quest, Dierdre's Quest, Mordork's Quest, etc.) before MapGuy vanished mysteriously. 10/10 all the way!

There is only one bug and it is rare, and it has something to do with the Spellbook which is always buggy anyway.

It's very, very good, however in Chapter Two with the battle with the Faceless One Mindflayer, two of the heroes spawned instead of one, which made the battle...... difficult.

Great campaign! The story was incredibly well done. The gameplay was overall great as well, but it got a bit slow/long at points.

The campaign is great, and it would be even greater if it was a few scenarios longer.
