Note
This thread will contain all the development details of the map.
I would like people to test, rate, and comment on how to improve the map.

Overview:
You are a DragonHawk Rider,
this is your final test as an apprentice.
Collect all 40 orbs around the map to win.
If you crash, you fail


Features:

  • Realistic flight system
  • Specific height reaction
  • Keyboard gameplay, no mouse required
  • Interactive environment

Controls:
Esc - flap and increase your height
Left+Right - turn
Hit the ground, you crash and die


Objective:

Collect all 40 orbs around the map to win
Do not touch the ground, you will fail the test

Bugs:
Orbs attacking houses :eekani: [fixed in v0.8(not released)]

Help Me:

  • Should i add an observer slot for all maps?

Im currently trying to:
-Better terrain
-More orbs, some you must avoid, some you have to collect in order, to add more fun to the game, currently is a but dull.
-Mainly to add a timer, so people can compare times and scores on the hive



This is my beta flight system
I made this map to test an idea i had
looks like it worked, but with some bugs, which, i intend to get rid of.
This map is protected, if you want to know how something works, PM me.



Willthealmighty - Explosions [sand and ice]
HorizonTal - Arrow Key movement system [green] [modified]




-Fixed attacking orbs bug
-Added Powerups
-Added a Zepplin

Quick Fix
-Fixed a bug where you dont win if you collect all orbs.
Thanks to ninjaen for the report
I had the 1 gold per orb and 40g = win but removed it while trying to
make a multiboard unsuccessfully :|


-Fixed a house attacking an orb bug :p
-Fixed spam flap and crash bug [thx to Septimus for finding it]
-Larger Map, slightly larger boundaries [thx ninjaen]
-No camera bug at the 'End of the world' [thx ninjaen]
-No 'End of the world' [thx ninjaen]
-Better terrain

-Interactive Environment
Your going to have fun with this one =D
-Protected


-Fixed height bug =D
Had to modify HorizonTal's Movement system.
-You now constantly move forward
-You cannot go 'back' only left and right keys used
-Fixed coillison bug with one of the orbs


-Reworked the orb system,
It is now more efficient and less time consuming [for me]
-Total of 40 Orbs now
-Orbs vary in heights
-Difficulty increased [now you have to hit the orb exactly for it to count]


-Released
