[Spell] Doom can't be leveled?

I found out in maaaaaaaaaaany threads that doom can't be leveled. All of them said that "There'll be a weird effect going on" so I tested it. Doom with 3 levels, no weird effect, working just fine. What's wrong with doom anyway?

Doom is specially use to give a curse to one unit. The Curse of Doom will be end until the Unit died.

So the unit died, will be spawn a Doom Guard.

So even when I put a duration, it won't work on 2nd level and so on?
I tried and it works. Found nothing wrong with doom. When doom killed a unit, i have a solution so the unit doesn't show up

yes, its possible to do that...

First, create a custom unit
second, in Doom, change the doom guard into last created unit (Your custom unit)
and last delete the custom unit and done

Doom can be limited in terms of time they're taking effect, I do it in my http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/map-development-202/under-burning-sky-remake-248229/ project.
Just change the duration accordingly. Be noted Doom's Spell Disabling is hard coded.

A bit off topic but why would you want to use doom if you're going to remove the doomguard anyway? Why not just use soulburn?
