Difficulty installing Warblender

So I've downloaded Warblender from github.com, installed it into my Blender 2.76 directory, but I can't seem to find any of it when I try to enable it under User Preferences > Add-Ons. Is that a bad download, or did I do anything else incorrectly? Sorry if this thread already exists deep in these forums.

Warblender is old and hasn't been updated in years, I doubt it works with new Blender versions.
Even when it worked, it only supported simple meshes and materials, as far as I remember.
For serious Warcraft modeling, I can only recommend 3ds Max + NeoDex (not because of the Autodesk part, but because you have NeoDex).

Hmmm, I can't spare $3500. But at least I've found a MDX <--> 3DS converter, and Blender can import and export 3DS files. Thanks for the hint.

Maybe there is still a working version of gmax and NeoDex?
