Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

Hi Guys,
Don't know if anyone has tried yet to solo the map but I did after playing it once with noobs.
I picked the Witch hunter and it was not that easy but it's possible to solo it, yes even tyrael is kill-able.
SO to the developer please increase the difficulty.
Actually I'm not sure how it is with other guys but I was lvl 40 after killing tyrael ( saved the replay, 1hour 45 min it took me)

For v1.18, rather than increasing difficulty we have made a balancing system which changes the exp rate depending on the number of players in game :)

In v1.17, theres no such system in place. If you go solo you receive a lot more exp making it easy to become overpowered :S

But yea :) This issue has been addressed and fixed :D Thanks for the report though, and keep em coming!

I havent fixed the issues with boss difficulty yet. I havent been at my pc much lately. I'll try to get some done tonight. See if I can make it work.

Awesome to have you back man! Once you've fixed the boss issue things will move more quickly.

Well, in my part I still can't seem to figure out what is causing the potion duplication problem. Although I could just create a crazy temporary system to fix this thing. I think I'll give this a try.

I can't wait to see 1.18, so we can finaly see if making this map into a team project insteed of a single-person project was a good idea ;)

I have been in the team even since 1.06 i think :wink:
I was the first person to join CW and if im right, i was the one that made CW to actually start a team at all. First time i asked he said that it wouldent be a good idea becouse the map wasnt suppost to be this big but then something must have happened cus i asked him all the time x)

I joined CW at 1.05 already! haha, i didnt knew :p
If you check my profile you can see some "charts" i made for the map and that was done after the release of 1.05 so i joined between 1.05/1.06
So well, we have actually been a team for a while now, First it was just cloudwolf, then me, then after a while RedMarine came and rescued me from getting killed by the devil triggers i had made and helped me to finish it up. Then we started to invite Spell makers, texturers and so on.
One more thing, when i first joined, my only part in the team was to answer peoples question in this thread, and i worked my way up, i learned alot from that, now i know how to do, haha. ;)

And much more than any wc3(wc4) and diablo3, i'm wait for STARCRAFT2!
Acording to blizzard, Starcraft 2 is going to be released this year.
They said that they will release it a short while after the beta is released, and that means, the beta you can win through the Warcraft 3 Tournaments that is this summer. If they wont release Starcraft 2, we can atleast expect a beta, thats for sure, otherwise blizzard cant hold their words :p

Lol, one of my friends are such a dump fuckhead liar! He said that you can download a demo of Diablo III Leagal on the internet. OMG what a gay, i just wanted to insure that im right no legal demo have been released... So plz answer :D

There is no beta/demo release for Diablo III. If he did download something then it is most likely just a virus bomb. A system restoration seems in order when such cataclysmic events accurr.

PS: Blizzard Entertainment have never had any of their games leaked before.

Your map is one of the most awesome wc3 maps i've ever seen, it rly feels like the diablo 3 videos.

However it would be great if you could add a singleplayer mode since I would rather play this alone and don't wanna be stuck with retarded ally's.

Currently i can't get very far playing solo :/

I know this may seem a bit off topic and a little intrusive, but I also would be interested in an up to date copy of wc3.

My wc3 is only on the previous patch and crashes ever time it tries to update.

I'm talking about D3W map.

Anyway, I register my games at Battle.net so I am always able to re-download them if necessary. You should do the same.

Hello all. I have a friend picking up warcraft today, I was playing this map all yesterday (Fun stuff) and I was wondering how do you get it on the battle net tis really confusing for me.

You need to open your ports and disable your firewall in order to host it online. Sounds simple, but it's such a pain in the ass to do that not even I can do it. I believe there are tutorials on How To Host WarCraft III Games somewhere around here or www.thehelper.net

Hope that helped at all.

Personally I believe it is a rather simple process for a techsavy guy like me. I can understand that people are having trouble as they do not understand how a router blocks and allows port to the computer. Hell, they might not even know what a port or Firewall is.

Anyway, here is a better website for port forwarding.

Small tips on how to use the site
  1. A) Scroll down and choose your router model.
  2. B) Choose the game you want to port forwarded. In your case it's WarCraft III.
  3. C) Follow the port forwarding tutorial.

Just wanted to let you guys that the project has resumed. It was temporarily put on halt during CloudWolf's absent.

I've just finished some parts of the inventory system so it is now more capable of handling multiple bonuses e.g. stats, abilities, etc. I also fixed a flaw which removed bonuses from heroes without any profound reason.

I can say that the inventory system is in a stable enough state to actually be released. Now, we have to wait for the rest of the stuff to be finish.

DarkHolme, any luck on the ballance system? :p

Seems like the activity around here has fallen dramatically...

Anyway, I've fixed the potion duping problem now. It was a rather complex solution but it's done. Now I don't see any other bug in the inventory system beside some item types not attachable.

And yes, we have worked pretty damn much for the latest version.
I cant remember like half of the changes becouse its to much to keep it in my head.
But yeah.. that might be becouse some changes isnt even visible.

I want this master piece to be released so i can start to work on the next "thing".

how did you streched the clifs that much in your map?
i am creating a new Lotr map right now, but i need to know how to change clifsizes or i will never finish it :(
