Oh lawds that is not Deus Ex. Square Enix ;_;

Having said that, I'm a whore and will buy it. I bought Invisible War thinking "it can't be that bad" and it was, so... fools and their money.

The only thing Square Enix is doing is the movie sequences and publishing the game, development is done by Eidos Montreal.

It's meant to be a prequel, and yet they have much better technology than in the only real Deus Ex title.

Mech Augs were said to be outdated tech in Deus Ex, and the main character here has Mech Augs. And I didn't really see any more tech on display anyway...

I never really enjoyed Deus Ex that much. It was fun, sure, but it was never the godlike epitome of video games that everyone makes it out to be. I'll see the reviews/general opinion on this one before I give it a shot. I hope it's more character/story oriented than it is on action, though.

Your perspective on awesome games is like walking in the dark with sunglasses on.

Luckily I have mý visions augmented.

The huge jet plane, when DX still only has helicopters? Though now that I think about it, there is technically a plausible explanation (the black choppers are stealthy and twin jet engines... wouldn't be).

your perspective on other people's perspectives is like if Mussolini had a mechanical extending arm that could slap your nuts all the way from Rome.

I think it's more of a design choice than a reflection of how technology is at the time. It could be that the corporation that owns those huge jet planes is a different one than the one in DX, which might prefer using helicopters.

I honestly don't get how Mech Augs were considered out dated though. Just looking at that thing in the trailer makes me wish I had one in the original DX, it looks a lot more useful. lol
