[Trigger] Damage Over Area?

I'm sorry if this was covered before, I looked around and couldn't find anything answering my question.

I'm interested in creating an ability that creates a bunch of special effects, which cause damage to any unit that gets too close.

I tried also creating a unit at the location of every special effect and adding a burn aura to it, but that becomes cumbersome and ugly.



Does anyone know how to do this?

P.S. I'm not using JASS
 
Upon reading my post I realize my point wasn't very clear.

I want the following:
- Unit A creates a special effect B at location C
- Any OTHER unit X that gets too close to location C takes damage as long as it stays there
