I have created a custom building and how would I make it so that a player can only make one of it? (Think mothership)

you can reverse engineer the code which limits Motherhip production, looking at how it it's limitation works.

Aha, Im sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about =P

Just look how it works with mothership and copy it, changing Mothership to Building you made.

You can also just use trrigers to make player unable to build buildings of this kind if he builds one.
