When I tested the imported music in the editor, the volume sounded fine but when playing in-game, it's way too quiet while the race-related theme has decent volume. What could be the cause?
It's mp3. I used "play music" and I tried setting it to 100% volume with another action but it changed nothing. Are they the same filetype? What trigger did you use to play the sound? In JASS the sound volume goes 0-127 not 1-100, if you are doing that (but I expect you aren't).
There's no such option once I use it as music.Try adjusting the sound of the custom tracks in the Sound Manager.
My audacity has no mp3 save option, only some very spacious wav. And I don't understand why I even need to raise the volume of the file when it sounds fine in the editor.Increase the volume directly in a software like Audacity until you have a satisfying result
I had a very old version. The new one seems more comfortable to use. However, I still don't understand what causes the problem with the volume in the game. In the editor, it's roughly the same volume as the default music but in game, it's not.Audacity can export as mp3 using LAMElib. It should be built into Audacity now.
Is one stereo and the other a mono track? I don't have many more ideas. However, I still don't understand what causes the problem with the volume in the game. In the editor, it's roughly the same volume as the default music but in game, it's not.
Not sure. This is the music I used.I feel you on the old Audacity install, lmao. I had one from like when I joined this site still on a hard drive.

Yes, that's how it should normally look. For me, there's nothing below variable.
Ok this is a problem.... For me, there's nothing below variable.
I'll look into that but I doubt it makes a difference. Sounds are by default on the max 127 volume. Boosting the volume with audacity solved the issue but it is still odd.You could try outputting a .flac from Audacity just to see if it makes a difference. FWIW your custom track is mono and ArthasTheme.flac appears to be stereo (2 channel audio).
