creative name for an advanced footman

I'm in the process of creating a modified melee map, and I am creating a unit that will replace the footman (for a certain faction) with this advanced unit that has a little more hp and armor as well as the critical strike ability. It's not any kind of an elite unit, just an upgrade essentially. I was hoping somebody on here could suggest an appropriate name for such a unit.
