ConvertShots

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This tool originates from here

This tool is used to convert .tga files to .jpg files. It's better than hunting Adobe Photoshop. Plus, Warcraft III screenshots are in .tga, after converting those images, the size of those files would be below 500 kb from 3003 kb. This tool would be useful for those who play many Warcraft III ORPG's like me, lol.

Anways, I did not make this tool. I discovered this tool, while I was googling for ways on how to get my ORPG codes faster.

Also, I have not tested this tool, with other OS'. So if you encounter problems with the tool, just post here, and if you find an OS compatible with this tool, post yet again here.

And the last is, after you download the program, put it in Warcraft III:\Screenshots folder. Then open the tool, convert all tga's into jpg.

Credits to Marchus B. Williams (a.k.a RED SITH) for making this tool.

Do you have any permission from the original author to upload this tool?
i doubt he does but atleast he didn't claim it as his own and that's smth!!

ontopic:
so the purpose of this is to convert all the screenshots taken for codes in orpg's?
if that's true then this is awesome!! IMO it's way faster to open jpg than tga files:D

I do not have the permission yet, I'm still awaiting for the reply of the guy who made this tool.

Yes, it is to convert all the screenshots, so that if you lost your codes in ORPG's or just want some screenshots, then you may view them without downloading Paint.net or Photoshop or some advanced photo viewer/editor.

Maybe it's just me, but i dont recall that the screenshots
are in .tga when taken?
~ All mine are in .jpg? >.>

BUT, if im somehow wrong or if my warcraft is special somehow, this
will be really useful for the wc3 people.
Especially in rpg maps when you want to save your -save code in rpg maps with
a -save/-load system.
So gj.

//// Also,
Have you gotten the permission to upload it yet? =)

It's JPG because when you hit "print screen", you save it to paint. Every time you press "print screen" while playing wc3, a TGA file is automatically created as a backup, in your wc3 folder.

And, this tool is for those TGA screenshots in case you did lose your save/load code for an ORPG or whatever. This tool would convert TGA's into JPEG's/JPG's thus lessening file size, making it more clearer (it's a part of the tool), and making it viewable without having Photoshop or some photo viewer.

I'm not sure if it's your wc3 that's special or whatever, but most of the guys I've met use this tool as their converter since they spam "print screens", without actually moving it to paint, thus losing some screenshots.

And, no, I haven't gotten permission to upload it, but the author did spread it around different websites- wc3-related or not, that's why I was able to find this tool. If you try searching in Google, you would find many links where you could download this tool, that being the reason why I uploaded this here. But I'm still trying to contact the one who made this tool.

And thanks for commenting, and for the positive feedback! I just wanted to share this useful tool here, even though I knew it wouldn't be approved.
