compatibility question

is a 512 Mb 256 bit 650/1800 DDR3 PCIe 2.0 video card compatible with a motherboard that supports DDR2 ram 1066 memory?
if yes are there any consequences?

If the motherborad has a compatible PCI-e slot.

The type of RAM used on the motherboard and on the video card are not really related, so they won't cause compatibility issues with each other.

"DDR2 ram 1066 memory"? Why not go for Asus P6T Deluxe?

Asus makes great motherboards, and it's also full i7 compatible. (Which the DDR2 motherboard isn't, as i7 can only have DDR3 ram)

Those specs for Core and Mem speeds fit a 9800 or 9600, Mid-Low cards.


There is also the fact that i7 uses LGA1366 and Core2 uses LGA775, so maybe that's why, instead of the mem
