CliCli 2.0 Update

Hello! We'd like to introduce how CliCli has expanded since our last post.

Recently, we released our 1.2.0 update, which added tons of new features, stability improvements and performance upgrades.

Take a look at some of our hard work in action!

Major New Features

Particle Editor

This tool is dedicated to helping every user in creating better and more suitable visual effects with ease to improve visual performance in their projects.

Lua Plugins in Visual Studio Code

I'd put a gif here if it loaded :cry:

CliCli Lua API plugin and Lua Debugging Plugin are added to the Visual Studio Code which includes functions like auto-completing, data type lookup, syntax hyperlinks and breakpoints.

ECA Performance Profile



Creators will be able to monitor game logic performance, locate infinite loops, and debug ECA triggers in run-time.

In-Game Voice-call Function

Added voice call ECA triggers, allowing in-game communication real-time with 3D sound effects.

Basic Source Control Function

Creators will be able to upload their projects to GitHub or other online version control repository.

Bring your CliCli Avatar into the game

Creators will be able to implement users platform avatars in their projects.


Art Optimization

  • The Art Style settings allow you to customize the artistic effects for in-game time shifts, where the day can become night in a second. It will also be possible to customize the skybox, art styles, and filters for every in-game second in the future.
  • Improved artistic effects with new PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) implementation, art styles and filters.
  • Customizable Combat Damage Text in Art Style settings for better visual performance.
  • Removed some low quality assets and improved overall preset qualities.

Performance Optimization

Editor
  • All art assets will be uploaded to the cloud to reduce CliCli install package size.
  • Reorganized ECA logic to adjust parameters and quantity of triggers, some ECA triggers and parameters will be deprecated.
  • Adjusted Lua APIs to lower learning difficulties and improve running performance.

Game
  • Improved modifier, skill, and unit object types for better game performance. Now the editor supports one thousand units running in 60FPS.
  • More polished Act, Tower Defense, and AVG game templates.
  • Reduced Memory usage.

Bounty Hunter
  • This is a monthly re-occurring event that allows creators to manage their own schedule, to be tested by the CliCli team, and be given design assistance. Currently, we award up to $3,000 for qualifying projects.
Game Jam
  • This is a week-long themed contest aimed at growing community participating and groups. Currently, we award up to $1,250 with multiple different awards for the winners.
Partnership Program
  • For the highest quality projects, we may invite the creators to closely work with us and be provided with multiple resources to improve their game.

Thanks for sharing this here. The new updates show you are heading into the right direction, so I will be keeping an eye on clicli

The new creator programs on the other hand are not as interesting as incubation. Much less reward than incubation + lesser ROI
