[SD/Modeling] Circle FX for boss mechanics

I need some ground indicator circles for boss mechanics. I have created a red plane circle which is unfortunately clipped by the terrain and gives an ugly result.

I am thinking it might help if there was a "wall" to the circle similar to the Unholy Aura effect:

Is there someone who could whip out such a model? Seems simple for someone with knowledge.
