(maybe some themed items like santa's hat or winter hat drops from the ice cave boss)

or maybe a shop that sells cristmas items for mana crystals and gold!

If it would be a standalone game then it would be possible. But well, making an update only for Christmas that introduces themed items that would be obtainable only for limited time would be unfair for some people unless:

1. The items would be inferior to any late-game items, meaning they wouldn't give resists and stats that are higher than ones from these that are on items dropped from HG, Garg, etc.
and/or
2. The items would still be available after Christmas ends.

Otherwise, I'm up for it. Making it snow everywhere, some festive decorations, maybe changing enemy models to more Christmas-themed - why not? But then, it probably won't happen, as it would take some work to introduce it and Zwieb has probably better things to do, like working on the new map. But then, it's only me, who knows...

It's possible: add christmass themed items -> add shop that sells them -> after event end remove shop but keep items in game.
Unfortunately it won't happen cause those items would take precious Bytes of map weight.

well only some hive hats... like santa's hat and winter hat its low file size.
(santa's is team collored so it have 12 collours) and maybe it drop from a special boss in the snow area... maybe a polar furbolg for a quest : "the polar furbolg stollen the santa's gifts, bring it back" you kill that and receive the hat!
and that can continue even after cristmas... its a snow area, something with that theme would be nice...

Could be just for christmas event can we merge just 2 items stats into one item but we have only one chance no more than 1 item merge. Example chest only can merge with only chest items , would be awesome imo
