Channeled Laser?

I was wondering if someone could please make a horizontal long laser (red or blue would be best) like a nod beam tank, or the new starcraft 2 air unit. I have searched and seen lasers for starwars models but they are short and not nearly long enough to make it seem continous with increased attack speed.

I think this request would apply to a lot of people, so please can someone create this

You can use a model with a ribbon effect then set the missile speed to 9999999. this way, it will look like one continuous beam.

The phoenix missle works well if you're going to do that. Great for the red laser. I'm sure you could also recolor it to blue as well.

There's a long, very, very, very fat laser in the models. Unlike Mc!'s (pwnage) one, it's horrible, it's WAY too big. Might be good for this purpose.
