Cannons

This bundle is marked as approved. It works and satisfies the submission rules.
A Cannon, using the Steam Tank as a base model. Thought it would be useful for any Kul Tiras armies, or Pirate maps. Two versions available, one using the mortar team texture and one using the human battleship texture.

No new textures required.
Give credits if used.

It achieves a sort of, simplicit quality. It functions well, and is quite usefull. The wheels may be a bit overdone, but the poly count is still substantially low. All together, I'd give it a 4/5

By the way my rating is 3/5 but Mr. Bob's is 4/5.

I tried smaller wheels, however, the model did not look right when used ingame. It looked too slender and brittle, in my mind. I'll attempt to find another texture, but it is doubtful I could find one suitable.

Edit: Wrapped an alternate version to the Battleship Texture. Its available in a moment as a portrait for the cannon. Giving people a choice of whichever they prefer.
Edit2: Unfortunately the new picture did not appear on the update.

Well the hive already has a cannon, but I like the way you made it have a "cartoony" feel to it and not 100% historical. It adds a bit of character I say. 4/5

wheel size is fine but the wheels have too much bits and pieces on them. Take off the metal straps.
Make the cannon barrel one and a half time larger then it is now.
Maybe use a wooden stand that is part of the cart to hold the cannon up.

Overall pretty good i'd give it a 3.99999 out of 5 :)

This is fairly decent and useful model. But here are my qualms:

-The wheels are too complex. Their size is fine, but they have too many polies, and the texture's detail contrasts too much with the cannons simple, cartoony texture.
-How is this thing moving?
-The steam tank death doesn't really fit. A metal cannon on a wooden frame would not die in a fiery implosion like that. I'd think it would just fall apart. What you could do is change the particles to dust and smoke so it looks like it is breaking apart instead of lighting on fire.

This is a pretty good model, it has many uses, and is executed pretty well. 3/5.
This could get a higher rating if it is tweaked and improved a bit, but it is acceptable as is. Good job.

- Wheels may be complex, but would look godawful using Wc3's usual standard of wheels, its about time we had some which are more than just cylinders (and plus, the details show nicely ingame).
- How is the Ballista/Glaivethrower/Catapult/Demolisher moving?
- I'll look into the dust when I come to look back over the model, which might be awhile.

Nice one

This is nice model, wheels are fine. Only thing i found was that for some reason its portait plays death animation if i move. Could you try to fix it, or did i something wrong??? :vw_wtf:
