Can you duplicate geosets?

Hi!

I'm trying to customize a character model with the Model Editor and MdlVis, and I'm wondering if you can duplicate geosets, as I aim to give the model an extra pair of horns. Duplicating only the horn part of the needed geoset woud probably be most useful.

Question is: can the duplication be done with the aforementioned tools? Or is there another tool out there that could work?

If nothing else works, I'm considering rearranging the vertexes to give the horns an antler-ish look, but any help is still appreciated.

I saw earlier someone also apointed you to Mdlvis . You can copy and paste any mesh you want in the linked program. Open the model in Mdlvis --> then you will see your model, pres F to switch between textured view, and again F to view the vertices of the model. On the right side you'll see geosets that model has, you better check them all so you can edit all of the model's mesh. Now select the desired vertices and use ctrl+C to copy that mesh part and then ctrl+V to paste it. You can find a lot of tutorials on youtube, just be sure to search for them.

Considering the buggy UI texts, this is honestly a good pointer! Silly me has been sitting here thinking it can't possibly be something so simple as ye olde copy-paste...:xxd:Goes to to show that one should always try the usual tricks first!:hohum:

Well you couldn't know by yourself it would work. I didn't know much about Mdlvis in the first place. It's a buggy program but very useful.

Note that MdlVis also allows you to copy/paste entire geosets between different models. E.g. you open a footman model, copy the sword mesh, then open a grunt model and you can paste the sword mesh! It's very useful for quick transfers, but then you have to apply a correct texture and attach the mesh to a proper bone, otherwise it will be quite buggy.

You also have a "detach as new geoset" button, it's like two green arrows in circle (something like that) on the right. This allows you to create a new geoset based on your selection, while keeping the bone structure intact.
