Can Items/Item Abilities Have Use Animations?

I'm struggling to get an item ability to play its animation upon use of the item. Any tips? Thank you.

I know you can Trigger it but wondering why setting the ability Art - Animation Names to Spell string isn't working.

Items don't play animations when used. They're simply not designed to do so.
