Hey everyone !

I have been working on a projet for a while and i have used severals skins from the website without problems until a few days agos when i started using skins on units instead of doodads and structures.
For the info : I tried skins such as Blackmore dude, lordaeron units and differents kinds of humans soldiers (and everything is for Reforged Warcraft 3)

The import feature works fine and the units using skin appear perfectly on the map but as soon as I close the map and try to re-open it in the editor, I encounter either of the two problems :
  • First one : Editor freeze permanently.
  • Second one : I get this fatal error DABC3839-6813-4BBC-8349-72A9185041BD which close the editor.

Again, the skins appear without problem when i add them to the map it is when i close the map a first time that the problem begins.

If you have any solution, i would be forever thanksful as I am creating this map mostly for my girlfriend to enjoy the game ^^

Sadly that is a reforged editor bug. :\ You can read a bit more about it here:

You can still use them, but if you place a unit using that custom model/texture in the map, then it will crash the editor when you re-open the map. So often times people will use tricks (as mentioned in that post) to try to avoid placing those units. Or they'll import the models/textures but leave the path incorrect until they're ready to play-test their map. Either way, be sure to make back-ups! :)

If your map is crashing right now and you want to recover it, you should be able to open it with an MPQ editor and then delete those imports.

Is it a problem with just reforged mode or does it affect classic/SD maps too?
I haven't played Reforged just yet, but from my observation of several posts regarding that matter, the problem often occurs on HD models. It might also affect maps with Classic/SD models, but to a lesser extent. Nonetheless, this problem seems to be serious since 1.33 patch because this is the first version where the model file format gets changed.

As I said earlier, remember to make a backup of the original map before making some changes and rely on the map folder you have just made if you want to delete some imported files without using the MPQ Editor.
