alright, i have gone through this alot of times.
But i will help you.
You imported the skin, alright, make sure you have put in the custom skin path.
Delete the war3imported/ and put in this as an EXACT MATCH.
Textures\Hero_BloodElf.blp
That is the proper path.
Some things to make sure you do, are you sure the skin is valid and is a .blp file?
after importing the skin and giving it the path, SAVE your map. CLOSE it. And RE OPEN it. You MUST do this for the skin to show up on world editor.
Wait..
And when i put my skin on the world editor in my map it was just a green and black box.
That doesnt happen with skins, what you must have is a model.
E.G
A skin- (a model already exisiting in WC3, except with a different texture)
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/resources_new/skins/1046/
A Model (A custom model with custom textures made from scratch (or edited from an existing model)
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/resources_new/models/3379/
make sure you dont confuse the 2. How ever the process is the same for a model, except you have to import the model AND all nesscary textures, (All textures in red text). The model i have shown as an example however, uses in game textures (textures existing in the warcraft 3 database) and do not require any imports except for the model itsself. the model does not need a custom path.
right mdx.? how can it be wrong?
