Made for the Zergling easter-egg model in the editor. Mostly freehand, although I used dodge and burn more than I'd have liked. As always, I'd love to hear criticism as long as it helps me improve the icon.

This is now part of a series: Upgrade 1 of 3.
Upgrade 2: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource.php?t=104671

It's supposed to be the armor and the claw-limb thingies coming out of the Zergling's back.

This is an awesome freehand but, I have to say that there's some flaws, the two.. Claw-thingies are too tightly drawn, if you look at the model, they are slightly in from the sides and, the whole Zergling is way more grayish. But I must say this is a very well-done freehand. Good work.

-Edit- Decided to try it in-game, works fine. Only thing is that you ought to do passive to, I'd see them as the nerubian hero's passive armor enhancer too. But meh.

You should have drawn the face instead of a random spot on the back. I suppose this could work as some sort of upgrade though.

this doesnt look too bad..although it only uses one real shade of brown.

could work for an upgrade like Hawkwing said..or as an armor based spell.

It was originally going to be a series of claw upgrades but I drew too much of the body for it to really focus on the claws. I'll see about spreading the claws out a little and making it less monotone, though.

EDIT: Ack, new BTN and DISBTN aren't uploading correctly. Hold on...

    EDITEDIT: There we go.

Clearly the claw things arent big enough, they arent antenna with claws on top, I suggest making them thicker and just go out of the icon from its back. Make one shown going in and make the other behind it. Also get a better background. Make the icon interact with its background.

The glow is too strong. Honestly, I think it just looks bad overall, but if you must keep it I suggest you dim it.

Alright. Thanks for the criticism, I re-did the claws, upper parts of the limbs, the central armor plate and the glow, also gave it thin black outlines.

Er, wait, what? Did the BTN and DISBTN not update or something? The preview looks fine to me...

The PASBTN looks good enough, but you need to fix the DISBTN/DISTPAS stuff.

What's wrong with it? Does it show too much of the icon?
