I would have loved more color contrast. Like making the gem lava color, the staff blades bright yellow. But the staff's handle, dont make it fire theme. Make it something earthy. the edge of the staff, use shadow to give it a little dimension? The background seems like it is touching the staff. Not that much big deal though.
