BranchedTree

My tree model with animations so this can be used as a destructible tree... You'll just need to change the path of the model...

In my opinion, you should use this for the trunk instead:
UI\Glues\SinglePlayer\NightElfCampaign3D\AeriePeaksFir01TrunkSkin.blp

Although, you would need to rewrap it because it appears stretched on the model. I think it would be a lot more useful, as it could serve as a second variation of the elveswood models. =) Great model otherwise. We need more models for terraining.
 
Where did you see a model that looks like this.

He never claimed to have seen it as a model in Warcraft 3; he only claimed to have seen it before.

He's probably recognizing it from another game, because I do remember one of the RTS games that I've played in the past having trees of this type.

As for the tree, it's a 4/5 from me.

I must admit the model looks great, but somehow it is broken, or realy bad. I have a 214x214 Map with 2000 of thees trees as doodads. Ingame i have hard fps drops around 30Fps!
If i change the used model, just for example to this here i have no fps drops.
So the model is realy imperformant which reason whatsoever.
Hope you can fix this. If you like to see the map i can send u via message.
Srry for my realy bad english.

Edit: The path needs to be BranchedFirTree.mdx only, without "war3mapImported\"

This does allow the tree to be targeted as a destructible tree, but another issue arises. The right-click for harvesting seems to require clicking on or near the center of the tree trunk only (about half way up the tree), rather than the base of the tree or the entirety. This is probably just fine for overhead camera games, but I'm having some trouble with this in a map with a 3rd person camera.
