You should expand the rules a bit since there are no rules for a boss fight competition. Also, why is it only GUI? My suggestions give specifics on what imports are allowed, allow for more coding types (I would suggest GUI, JASS, and vJASS to all be allowed), and finally what systems are allowed.

Bah I felt like outlining it

Boss Fight Competition #1
Theme: (Should there even be one? I doubt it)

Purpose
The purpose of this contest is simple create a challenging triggered boss fight.

Rules

  • No submission may violate any of the site rules.
  • Boss fight must be made for this contest.
  • GUI/JASS/vJASS Are fine. No cJASS or Zinc.
  • No external editors may be used, except for JNGP (no WEU).
  • External systems may be used.
  • Imports such as skins/models/icons are allowed
  • Your submission must be included in a demo map, and posted in the thread.
  • Your boss fight must be made by yourself.

Grading
  • Coding
    • Leakless
    • Overall Efficieny
  • Challenge
  • Originality

You will not be penalized for using GUI, nor will you get any bonuses for using (v)JASS.

This a broad outline depending on what the specifics are you will need to add a few rules, but I just decided to give you something that covered most of the areas.

That might be a problem because if triggers are judged on efficiency then GUI users will be at a disadvantage.
However, you should expand and take a look at how other competetions are set up.
Edit didnt see above post becuase it was posted while i was writing my post..

No I don't think they will. If you judge on what language they are using and keep in mind the limits of that language I don't think there would be any problems.

This sounds like a great contest! We'd get a lot of entries, as it wouldn't require in-depth knowledge of a specific area (modeling, for example) to do well.
