Yesterday an update came out. I was kicked from the world editor. I went into the map after the update, worked a little, saved the map and left. Then, as it turned out, the update was rolled back. THAT'S IT! My map no longer opens in the editor and even Warcraft 3 itself does not see it. I don't know what to do! It's been too long since I saved the map in a separate file...

Has anyone encountered something similar? What should I do? Is there another editor so that I can open this map there and at least copy the triggers?

Of course, I wrote to tech support, but they just waved me off. It is unlikely that they will help me there...

Maybe try changing to the PTR version to see if that works, or else wait for the patch to be rolled out again and then it might work again.
I switched to this version, it didn't help.Yes, the problem will probably go away after the patch is released, but it's not 100%. Besides, how long do we have to wait for this patch until they finish it? It could take weeks.

True it's not ideal and I sympathise. My only other recommendation is keeping a cloud backup of older versions, I use Google Drive for this, sometimes I forget to upload backups but it's still something at least. Or you can try finding the test map version in the temp files if you tested it that way recently?

You are amazing. Thanks for your help! The map was indeed found in the test files, thank you))))

another thing to try - in case you will need it - use MPQ editor to scoop up all insides and transfer it to a blank map. or, vise versa, try to locate corrupred files and replace them
