There is usually a model for a hero glow. For example: HeroGlow

Then all you have to do is, import the model and than make a ability or buff that does nothing (Such as, lets say you remove the buff from a Claws of Attack 1). And than on "Art-Target" add the model there. Then give the unit you want to be a hero the ability! I hope it works for you!

Not sure if it's just the 3d viewer or it's just my end, but the animation of 3, the start of it, to me, doesn't feel like a flick of a wrist slashing with a sword, it has more of a feeling like there might be a few transitional points in between that would make it slightly more fluid and more believable.
I really enjoy the design of the shoulders.
The crown looks nice! It blends in well.
The shield I have mixed feelings on. I feel like there's a world where it would look better with more reflective additions to the surface of it, but there's also another world where putting a more steel finish on it would do the job just as well.
