Title says it all- list the best RPG you've ever played, and why.

My favorite RPG of all time has got to be The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. It's truly epic win. The combat is violent and brutal. The character you play as is "Geralt of Rivia". I think this picture of him can describe him better than I can.

Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights.

I liked Oblivion and the Elder Scrolls series too.

Diablo, great as always, and Sacred is somewhat like diablo, only with a free-roam world.

Wow, that ended up a long list :D

I actually agree, Reaper. NWN 1 was great, they had the.. D&D spirit.
The 2nd part completely ruined it. I haven't even bothered to play the expansions.

I haven't played much RPG's. From what I played, I can say Sacred and Diablo II were somewhat good. I'm downloading Oblivion now, I heard you can make your own custom class and such... Sounds very interesting and the screenshots I saw imply awesomeness.

It's not new, TES3 Morrowind had that too and I believe the previous game also.

Oblivion.
My only RPG game <_<.

Screw my last post.

Oblivion 4 laif lul

For the record, I think Bethesda's games are horrible (except for Morrowind- it was pretty good.)

I've changed my mind, by the way. My favorite RPG of all time has got to be Fallout 2. I just started playing it SERIOUSLY two nights ago, and boy oh boy is it awesome! Much better than Fallout 3.
