Best program for making a model that is FREE

Ok I'm currently using Gmax since its looks kinda good for me than other model maker ( like milkshape..it kinda bores me because its some kinda fully detailed or something ) and I'm STUCK with the "rigging" or the bone thing xD...

Many people said that 3dsmax is the best but everybody knows that it is NOT FREE and its expensive...so I'm asking people for their best advice on what I should use for model making actually I'm not thinking of having trouble with the TRIGGERS even if I haven't been there YET 'coz I've seen so MANY tutorials for those in Youtube and I really want to make a Scratch Model from my drawings xD

so please SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS BECAUSE I WANT TO FINISH ATLEAST ONE MODEL FOR MY MAP :cry: ANSWER THIS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

the best free tools for wc3 to create models are definatly oinkertools http://www.oinkerwinkle.com/tools/download.html and MDLvis in combintion with http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tools-560/war3-model-editor-62876/
You may ask why, but I can give you the answer:
1. they were made for warcraft 3. So you won't need any file converter besides http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tools-560/mdlx-converter-62991/
2. they are not that complex compared to other programs, but wc3 does not need any more advanced tool than these.

I agree with ikillforeyou, GMax is the way to go! Just keep re-reading tutorials on how to rig, then you'll be good to go!!!!!!!! but... you're going to need Dex Exporter Script and Yobguls Converter (Use MDLX Converter on Vista) Before those models can work in Warcraft III. Good luck creating your first model!

PS: I am going through the exact same process as you, I am rigging my first model!

Gmax is the worst free 3d modeler. O: But it's the only one that works for WC3.

Blender is the best free modeler, but it doesn't work for WC3 anymore.

3ds max is the best modeler in general for WC3.

Maya is the best modeler in general, but it doesn't work for WC3.
